This document explains what information we gather when you use DietYap and how that information is handled. "DietYap" refers to the mobile application that helps you create personalized nutrition plans and build healthier daily habits.
Several categories of information may be collected during your use of DietYap:
When you first open the app, we ask questions to personalize your experience, including age, height, weight, gender, target weight, nutritional approach, allergens, and dietary considerations.
Everything you directly input into DietYap: meal plans, recipes, hydration and fitness logs, fasting schedules, weight entries, messages and photos sent to the dietitian, and your app settings.
Device type, operating system version, screen resolution, language settings, and error reports are collected to maintain app stability.
Anonymous usage metrics help us understand which features are most valuable and guide product development decisions.
DietYap's dietitian feature uses advanced algorithms and digital assistant technology to generate automated responses to your nutrition questions. The dietitian characters within the app do not represent real individuals; they function as digital nutrition assistants. Messages and photos are processed only in the moment and are not permanently stored.
We keep your personal data while your account is active. After account deletion:

We never share your data for advertising. Limited sharing may occur for legal requirements, service partners, and anonymized research.
Data from Apple Health integration is used exclusively for health and wellness functionality within DietYap and is never disclosed without your explicit consent.
